I’ll start by telling you this: I have 25 years of experience as a photographer and a degree in Fine Arts/Photography. But, aside from the obligatory résumé points, here’s what you should know:

I used to photograph architecture. Buildings and interiors and things that didn’t move or breathe and allowed all the room in the world for do-overs. So when a friend asked me to shoot a wedding as a last-minute favor, I was so sure I couldn’t do it. But the panic in her voice convinced me I had to at least try—and I watched my world change as a result (you know, the whole “happy accident” thing).
I fell in love with wedding photography—the relationships, the energy, the abundance, the revelry—all of it spoke to my strengths and opened up a world I couldn’t get enough of.
